JOBS WITH JUSTICE
ESSN is a network of labor unions, student groups, religious congregations, and community organizations, who support the civil and economic rights of all working people – especially the right to a decent standard of living, the right to a stable job, and the right to organize.
As a grass roots organization we do not suffer the constraints placed on many unions when it comes to direct action campaigns which allows us to bring community pressure to bear on employers who refuse to bargain in good faith.
ESSN is does not engage in electoral politics. We do not endorse candidates or political parties. We believe that true power comes when workers unite. Our focused is on kitchen table issues such as wages, housing, and health care. When the working class is united our communities prosper.
Become an network member and help to build the power of the working class
ESSN is a a true network made up of member organizations, ally organizations, and local activists and organizers. Our goal is to build solidarity by providing a platform for individuals and organizations to network, collaborate, and support the work we are all engaged in. Individuals and organizations can become pledge member or a dues paying member. Members in good standing have access to network resources. Members in good standing are voting members eligible to run for board positions.

ESSN sends out email Alerts four or five times a month for events and actions hosted by our network members. Network members and allies can request that actions or events be include in regular alerts. In the event of event of a significant labor action such as a local strike we may send out an extra alert to our subscribers. We do not send out solicitations for donations to subscribers.
